Top Ten Favorite places to read 𓇢𓆸
1: My room 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
This is the place where I feel most comfortable, since I'm alone in my room most of the time. I like to sit on my comfy ottoman chair and wrap myself in a blanket. Sometimes I'll make myself a cup of peach tea with some cheddar cheese popcorn and the rest is history! There's no noise or distractions besides my dog who will sometimes cuddle next to me while I read.
2: Grandma's front patio 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
My grandma lives in a little town in Mexico, close to one of many volcanoes that are there. Her front patio has one of the best views in town. Everyday that I'm there, she makes sure I read with her on the patio. It's one of her favorite places to read and it has now become one of mine too. Sometimes while we read, snails from her vegetable garden roam around us and I'm almost convinced they enjoy our reading sessions!
3: Porch swing 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
I love how relaxing it is when I decide to read here. The way the wind moves the swing and the sound of chimes in my front porch is so soothing. I get to enjoy the outdoors while not being completely scorched by the sun.
4: Library 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
Whether it's the public library or school library, I enjoy spending my time reading here. Might just be because I enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by free books. Just kidding! maybe... (also because Mrs. Schmelzer's cute dog makes sure I don't fall asleep while reading in his own special way!)
5: Park 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
I would rank this higher, but the only thing that sets this back is the amount of bugs there are (ticks, mosquitoes, spiders, ants). Anything that bites, really. I'm fine with everything else, just not biting bugs. Where I live there is a high concentration of ticks and I'm very weary of them since I somehow always find a way to attract them. I swear, I'd be so much happier if these insects didn't exist! Nothing would hold me back from reading outside otherwise.
6: Barnes & Noble 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
On the rare occasion where I make a trip to Barnes & Noble, I make sure I either get coffee or tea, and sit down in their lounge section and pass the time away. I don't know what it is about that place but I swear it's almost magical-like. I enjoy the smell of the books and the quiet steps of people through the halls. Before I do any of this, I buy a book I've been wanting to read and get a good chunk read in the store.
7: Car/bus 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
Whenever I'm on a long car/bus ride, I like to bring my books to keep me company. It's a mostly peaceful environment and it's even better if it's a rainy day. Since I live in a rural area, the countryside is nice to stare at while I read my book.
8: Airplane 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
The white noise airplanes create helps sooth any anxiety/stress I have from a long day of traveling -- no headphones needed!
9: Beach 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
I haven't had the chance to read at a beach yet, but I assume it'd be amazing. I've been to one before, but I was younger at the time. The sound of the waves and an umbrella over me with a good book sounds like an amazing vacation already!
10: Ireland 𖤣.𖥧.ð–¡¼.⚘
