Beauty in brevity

I wonder if we ever meet,  The same butterfly twice. To think that they revisit  Is really rather nice. But, I think that it’s unlikely, As they live for only days, To have even seen it, at all,  Is a gift in many ways. With a lifespan so short And so much here to see,  I feel rather privileged,  That you came to visit me. So when that flash of beauty, Next flits past on gentle wings, I will hold onto the joy and brevity That each butterfly visit brings. C.E. Coombes
